Brazil launches second anti-dumping sunset review investigation on circular welded austenitic stainless steel pipes originating from China-Zhejiang Benji Stainless Steel Co., Ltd

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on July 25th, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services issued Announcement No. 34 of 2024, stating that a second anti-dumping sunset review investigation has been initiated on circular welded austenitic stainless steel pipes originating in China, in response to the application of Brazilian company Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda.
The outer diameter of the products involved ranges from 6 millimeters or 1/4 inch (inclusive) to 2032 millimeters or 80 inches (inclusive), and the thickness ranges from 0.40 millimeters (inclusive) to 12.70 millimeters (inclusive). The tax codes for the Southern Common Market are 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20.
The dumping investigation period of this case is from October 2022 to September 2023, and the injury investigation period is from October 2018 to September 2023. During the investigation of the case, the current anti-dumping duties remain in effect. The final ruling for sunset review is expected to be made within 10 months from the date of filing, with a maximum extension of 2 months. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.
