On November 25, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil (Minist é riodo Desenvolvimento, Ind ú stria, Com é rcio e Servi ? os/Secretaria de Com é rcio Exterior) issued Announcement No. 67 of 2024, making a preliminary affirmative determination on anti-dumping of stainless steel welded pipes (Portuguese: tubos de a ? o inoxid á vel austen í tico) originating in India and Taiwan, China, China, and recommending that the products involved in the above countries and regions should be levied temporarily for no more than 6 months Anti dumping duties are respectively 125.18-1086.35 dollars/ton for India and 1132.89 dollars/ton for Taiwan, China, China (see the attached table for details of taxation). The product involved is austenitic stainless steel welded pipe, with grades 304 and 316, circular cross-section, outer diameter greater than or equal to 6 millimeters (1/4 inch) and less than or equal to 2032 millimeters (80 inches), thickness greater than or equal to 0.40 millimeters and less than or equal to 12.70 millimeters. Related to products under the tax codes 7306.40.00 and 7306.90.20 of the Southern Common City. The deadline for the completion of the investigation in this case will be extended by up to 8 months from March 7, 2025. On May 8, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services of Brazil issued Announcement No. 17 of 2024, which launched an anti-dumping investigation against stainless steel welded pipes originating in India and Taiwan, China, China, in response to the application submitted by the Brazilian domestic enterprise Aperam Inox Tubos Brasil Ltda. on January 31, 2024.
