1、 Stainless steel crude steel output

According to Mysteel research, in December 2021, the crude steel output of 32 domestic stainless steel plants is expected to be 2.696 million tons, with a month on month increase of 0.38% and a year-on-year decrease of 6.68%; Among them, the output of 200 series was 745000 tons, a month on month decrease of 0.33% and a year-on-year decrease of 21.45%; 300 series of 1.384 million tons, a month on month decrease of 0.30% and a year-on-year increase of 12.23%; 400 series 480600 tons, with a month on month increase of 3.53% and a year-on-year decrease of 21.82%.

In December, the output of domestic stainless steel crude steel was basically flat month on month. In part, due to the poor production profits of steel mills and the unsatisfactory order receiving, some stainless steel mills such as TISCO reduced their production slightly, but at the same time, some steel mills maintained the production level in November and even increased slightly in some cases.

In January 2022, the crude steel output of 32 domestic stainless steel plants is planned to be 2205200 tons, which is expected to decrease by 15.50% month on month and 20.35% year-on-year compared with December 2021. In January, the production of steel plants will be reduced through centralized maintenance. Of which:

200 is 490400 tons, with a month on month decrease of 34.17% and a year-on-year decrease of 49.79%;

300 is 1254900 tons, which is expected to decrease by 9.33% month on month and increase by 5.28% year-on-year;

400 series 459900 tons, with a month on month decrease of 4.30% and a year-on-year decrease of 23.34%.

In 2021, the total crude steel output of 32 domestic stainless steel plants is expected to be 32.4229 million tons, an increase of 8.66% year-on-year. Among them, it is estimated that 2 million are 9.7414 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 1.26%; 300 series of 16.4185 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 11.32%; 4 series 6.263 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 14.52%.

Mysteel estimates that the total crude steel output of 32 domestic stainless steel plants will be 33.51 million tons in 2022, an increase of 3.35% year-on-year. Among them, it is estimated that 2 million are 9.936 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 2.00%; 3 series of 17.14 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 4.39%; 400 series of 6.434 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 2.72%.
2、 Cold rolling output of stainless steel

According to Mysteel research, in December 2021, the cold rolling output of 34 cold-rolled stainless steel plants in China is expected to be 1242800 tons, with a month on month increase of 4.6% and a year-on-year decrease of 4.08%. Among them, the output of 200 lines was 374300 tons, an increase of 11.04% month on month and a year-on-year decrease of 1.24%; The output of 300 series was 678800 tons, with a month on month increase of 2.26% and a year-on-year increase of 0.56%; The output of 400 series was 189700 tons, with a month on month increase of 1.34% and a year-on-year decrease of 21.51%;

In December, the three series showed different degrees of increase. The increment of 200 series was mainly reflected in the steel plant in South China, and the increment of 300 series was small. It was mainly because a steel plant in Southwest China resumed production in December, and the output of 400 series changed little.

In 2021, the total output of stainless steel cold rolling of 34 domestic stainless steel plants was 14.91 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 9.91%. Among them, the output of 200 lines was 4.3443 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.34%; The output of 300 series was 7.7924 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 8.87%; The output of 400 series was 2.7733 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.65%. In terms of the proportion of lines, 200 lines accounted for 29.14%, 300 lines 52.26% and 400 lines 18.60%. Compared with the proportion of lines in 2020, the proportion of 200 lines and 300 lines is almost the same, and the proportion of 400 lines is increased.



3、 Stainless steel bar output

According to Mysteel statistics, in December 2021, the total bar output of 15 mainstream stainless steel plants in China was 190100 tons, with a month on month increase of 4.97% and a year-on-year decrease of 16.66%. Among them, 2 million were 3000 tons, unchanged month on month. 300 series of 172000 tons, an increase of 4.50% month on month; 400 series of 15100 tons, an increase of 11.85% month on month. In December, the domestic stainless steel bar output showed an increase month on month, mainly due to the limited production of some steel mills in the pre-term film, which resumed in the middle and late November, and the production was normal in December.

In 2021, the total bar output of 15 mainstream stainless steel plants in China was 2.3683 million tons, a slight decrease of 3.79% compared with that in 2020. Among them, 200 are 47000 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 6.33%, accounting for 1.98%; 300 series 2143200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.47%, accounting for 90.50%; 400 series 178100 tons, a year-on-year increase of 18.65%, accounting for 7.52%.



4、 Output of stainless steel wire rod

According to Mysteel statistics, in December 2021, the total wire rod output of 15 mainstream stainless steel plants in China was 166100 tons, with a month on month decrease of 8.38% and a year-on-year increase of 5.19%. Among them, 200 are 35000 tons, down 7.89% month on month, 300 are 116100 tons, down 9.51% month on month, and 400 are 15000 tons, flat month on month. In December, the domestic stainless steel wire rod output decreased slightly month on month, mainly due to the close to the end of the year, the limited overall demand, the poor order receiving of steel mills, and the slight reduction of mainstream steel mills.

In 2021, the total wire rod output of 15 mainstream stainless steel plants in China was 2.173 million tons, an increase of 31.34% over 2020. Among them, 2 were 586000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.00%, accounting for 26.97%; 300 series 1392200 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 52.69%, accounting for 64.07%; 400 series of 194800 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.25%, accounting for 8.96%.
