On December 6, 2022, the Indonesian Anti dumping Committee released a news that, in view of the public interest of Indonesia, Indonesia decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation on cold rolled stainless steel products originating in China and Malaysia and not impose anti-dumping duties.
On October 23, 2019, the Indonesian Anti dumping Committee issued an announcement to launch an anti-dumping investigation on cold rolled stainless steel products imported from China and Malaysia at the application of PT Jindal Stainless Indonesia, a domestic Indonesian enterprise. On March 25, 2021, the Indonesian Anti dumping Committee issued a public announcement, making a final anti-dumping determination on the case, ruling that the dumping margin of Chinese producers/exporters was 39.3%~109.6%, and that of Malaysian producers/exporters was 37.0%. The dumping of the products involved had caused substantial damage to the domestic industry in India. It was suggested that the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia should levy anti-dumping duties on the products involved for a period of five years. The involved products include cold-rolled stainless steel plates, coils, strips and cold-rolled stainless steel plates in other shapes, involving products under Indonesian customs codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90.
