India decides to levy anti-dumping duty on Chinas stainless steel seamless steel pipes-Zhejiang Benji Stainless Steel Co., Ltd

According to Chinas trade remedy information network, on December 20, the Tax Bureau of the Ministry of Finance of India issued Circular No. 31/2022 Customers (ADD), which claimed that it accepted the affirmative final determination of anti-dumping made by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India on September 23, 2022 on stainless steel seamless tubes&pipes with a diameter of less than or equal to 6 inches originating in or imported from China, and decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Chinas products involved for a period of five years, The tax is 0~3801 dollars/metric ton, of which the following four enterprises are not subject to tax: Zhejiang Jiuli Hi Tech Metals Co., Ltd., Huadi Steel Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Wujin Stainless Steel Pipe Group Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Tsingshan Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. The involved products are stainless steel seamless steel pipes, whether manufactured by hot extrusion process or hot piercing process, whether sold as hot processing pipes or cold processing pipes, including defective products, non first class products or second class products, with nominal diameter not exceeding 6 inches or other equivalent units of measurement, involving products under Indian customs code 7304.

On September 10, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced that, in response to the application submitted by Indian enterprises Chandan Steel Limited, Tubacex Prakash India Private Limited and Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited, an anti-dumping investigation was launched against stainless steel seamless steel pipes with a diameter of 6 inches or less originating in or imported from China. On September 23, 2022, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India made a final affirmative decision on the case.
