Classification statistics of stainless steel production in China and Indonesia in December 2022-Zhejiang Benji Stainless Steel Co., Ltd

According to the statistics of Mysteel:

1、 Crude steel output in domestic market

In December, the crude steel output of 41 domestic stainless steel plants (including the newly added steel plant Taigang Xinhai) in the new caliber was 3.032 million tons, an increase of 1.1% month-on-month and 8.46% year-on-year.

In 2022, the crude steel output of 33 domestic stainless steel plants will reach 31.834 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.89%.

1. The output of the 200 series was 9.961 million tons, an increase of 1.68% year on year;

2. The output of 300 series was 16.214 million tons, down 0.93% year on year;

1) The output of 304 was 1.1139 million tons, a decrease of 1.12% on a month-on-month basis and 15.87% on a year-on-year basis;

2) The output of 316 and 316L reached 81900 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 28.53% and a year-on-year decrease of 13.97%.

3. The output of the 400 series was 5.6589 million tons, down 9.94% year on year.

The total output of crude steel of the 41 stainless steel plants of the new caliber is 33.603 million tons, including 10.621 million tons for the 200 series, 17.263 million tons for the 300 series and 5.72 million tons for the 400 series.

2、 Crude steel output in Indonesia

In December 2022, Indonesias crude stainless steel production was 325000 tons (300 series), with a month-on-month decrease of 12.28% and a year-on-year decrease of 27.78%; The scheduled production in January 2023 is expected to be 352000 tons, an increase of 8.3% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 21.8%.

3、 Production of stainless steel bars

From January to December 2022, the total output of bars from 18 domestic stainless steel plants was 2.3046 million tons, of which the total output of bars from stainless steel plants in December was 21.84 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.34% and 4.45%. Including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 4900 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 63.33% and a year-on-year decrease of 45.56%;

2. The output of 300 series was 202300 tons, an increase of 15.34% year-on-year and 8.59% year-on-year;

3. The output of the 400 series was 11200 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.84% and a year-on-year decrease of 21.68%.

4、 Output of stainless steel wire rod

The total output of wire rod of 18 domestic stainless steel plants in this month was 144200 tons, with a month-on-month increase of 1.41% and a year-on-year decrease of 17.22%, including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 32600 tons, with a month-on-month increase of 1.24%;

2. The output of 300 series was 98100 tons, 0.51% lower than that of the previous year;

3. The output of the 400 series was 13500 tons, with a month-on-month increase of 18.42%.

5、 Cold rolling output of stainless steel

This month, the production of cold rolled stainless steel of 34 domestic enterprises reached 1.223 million tons, an increase of 0.02% on a month-on-month basis, including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 408800 tons, with a month-on-month decrease of 1.9% and a year-on-year increase of 10.85%;

2. The output of the 300 series was 604700 tons, down 3.4% month-on-month and 4.35% year-on-year;

3. The output of the 400 series was 209500 tons, with a month-on-month increase of 16.39% and a year-on-year increase of 5.54%.

6、 Output of hot rolled stainless steel plate

The output of hot rolled plates of domestic stainless steel plants in this month was 2029200 tons, down 1.07% month-on-month, including:

1. 200 series 792500 tons, up 5.86% month-on-month;

2. 300-series 926100 tons, down 9.43% month-on-month;

3. 400 series 310400 tons, up 10.92% month-on-month;

In 2022, the total output of stainless steel hot rolling of 24 domestic stainless steel plants was 21.5624 million tons, an increase of 5% year on year. Among them, 200 series were 8.004 million tons, an increase of 10.02% year on year; 300 series of 10031500 tons, an increase of 7.19% year on year; 400 series 3.5273 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 7.66%.
