Classified statistics of stainless steel production in China and Indonesia in January 2023-Zhejiang Benji Stainless Steel Co., Ltd

According to the statistics of Mysteel:

1、 Crude steel output in domestic market

In January, the crude steel output of 41 domestic stainless steel plants (including the newly added steel plant Taigang Xinhai) of the new caliber was 2.3863 million tons, down 21.3% month-on-month.

1. The output of the 200 series was 598000 tons, down 40% month-on-month;

2. The output of 300 series was 1365200 tons, down 0.93% year on year;

3. The output of the 400 series was 422700 tons, down 12.8% month-on-month.

2、 Crude steel output in Indonesia

Indonesias crude stainless steel production in January was 283300 tons (300 series), down 12.8% month-on-month.

3、 Production of stainless steel bars

In January, the total output of bars from 18 domestic stainless steel plants was 150800 tons, including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 2000 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 66.7% and a year-on-year decrease of 59.81%;

2. The output of 300 series was 137300 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 13.43% and a year-on-year decrease of 32.13%;

3. The output of the 400 series was 11500 tons, with a month-on-month increase of 2.68% and a year-on-year decrease of 19.01%.

4、 Output of stainless steel wire rod

The total output of wire rod of 18 domestic stainless steel plants in this month was 112900 tons, down 21.71% month-on-month and 25.53% year-on-year, including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 21700 tons, a decrease of 33.44% on a month-on-month basis;

2. The output of the 300 series was 78200 tons, a decrease of 20.29% on a month-on-month basis;

3. The output of the 400 series was 13000 tons, a decrease of 3.70% on a month-on-month basis.

5、 Cold rolling output of stainless steel

This month, the production of cold rolled stainless steel of 34 domestic enterprises reached 901800 tons, down 26.26% month-on-month and 24.17% year-on-year, including:

1. The output of the 200 series was 192500 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 38.75% and a year-on-year decrease of 52.91%;

2. The output of the 300 series was 491300 tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 24.92% and a year-on-year decrease of 18.75%;

3. The output of the 400 series was 218000 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 4.06% and a year-on-year decrease of 1.13%.

6、 Output of hot rolled stainless steel plate

This month, the output of hot rolled plates of domestic stainless steel plants was 1.518 million tons, down 25.19% month-on-month, including:

1. 200 series of 462000 tons, down 41.73% month-on-month;

2. 300-series 826500 tons, down 10.75% month-on-month;

3. 400 series 229500 tons, up 26.07% month-on-month;
